Chico is a great town for tacos. I met Brandon there almost a decade ago. We always found a good little taco shop like Tacos Cortez or Tacos de Acapulco to hit up on the weekends or midnight or whenever. A couple guys in school looking to get the most out of $3. The man may have been American but his tongue was most certainly hispanic- his food was not complete until it was bathed in the hot stuff. And often that wasn't enough.
Im headed to Chico on Monday to attend class. I think I will hit up Tacos Cortez, sit down with a few carne asada tacos, a bottle of hot sauce and have a chat with my buddy.
